Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy

(PEMA: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat)

PEMA publishes only original work. Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism and redundant (duplicate) publication, is not permitted.

Similarity Check

Every manuscript is screened using Turnitin upon submission and re-checked following revisions.

The maximum acceptable similarity index is 25%, excluding the bibliography. No single source should account for an excessive portion of the overall text.

Editors will review the similarity report rather than relying solely on the percentage. Text that is correctly cited and referenced is not considered plagiarism.

Actions

FINDING – ACTION

Similarity level above 25% prior to review: The manuscript is returned to the author for revision before it can proceed to the peer-review stage.

Substantial copying without attribution: The manuscript is rejected, and the author is notified of the reason.

Plagiarism discovered after publication: Such cases are handled in accordance with COPE flowcharts and may result in a correction or retraction of the manuscript (see the section on Corrections and Retractions).

Allegations of plagiarism are addressed according to the procedures for handling allegations of research misconduct.
