This research was motivated by the fact that there were students who lacked a sense of empathy, such as some students ignoring their surroundings, speaking sarcastically to their friends, and being less polite to their teachers. This research aims to: 1) Identify the behavior of students who lack empathy using a Transactional Analysis approach with the empty chair technique. 2) Design a counseling service model for Transactional Analysis counseling services using the empty chair technique to alleviate empathy problems (Study of Students in Class XI ULP at SMK Negeri 6 Padang City).This research uses research and development (R&D) research. The population of this study were students in class XI ULP SMK Negeri 6 Padang City with a total of 30 students. The number of samples in this study was 30 students. The sampling technique in this research used total sampling, and the instrument used was a questionnaire using percentage data analysis. Based on the research results, it can be seen from: 1) Identifying feelings of empathy in students using the Transactional Analysis approach with the empty chair technique in the "Quite High" category with a percentage of 50%. 2) Design a Transactional Analysis counseling service model using the empty chair technique in alleviating empathy problems for students in class Based on the results of this research, it is recommended that guidance and counseling teachers apply this model design to alleviate empathy problems in students by using transactional analysis with the empty chair technique.
