Article Corrections and Retractions

Edu Society is committed to maintaining the accuracy of the scholarly record. Corrections and retractions follow the COPE Retraction Guidelines.

Corrections (Erratum / Corrigendum)
These are issued when an error affects an article but does not invalidate its findings. Errors originating from the journal are addressed via an erratum, while errors originating from the authors are addressed via a corrigendum. A notice of correction will be linked to the original article, and a corrected version may also be provided.

Expression of Concern
This is issued when there are serious doubts regarding an article, while an investigation is still ongoing or the available evidence is inconclusive.

Retraction
An article is retracted if its findings are deemed unreliable (due to ethical misconduct or unintentional errors), if it contains plagiarism or duplication, or if it violates research ethics. The article remains available online, marked with the label "RETRACTED," accompanied by a retraction notice explaining the reasons for the retraction and the party who initiated it. Retraction notices are accessible free of charge.

Removal
The removal of an article occurs only in exceptional cases, for instance, if the article is found to be legally defamatory or to infringe upon the rights of another party. Bibliographic information will be retained, accompanied by a note explaining the reason for the removal.
